Week of heavy rain makes way for sunny weekend

SA Weather forecaster, Wayne Venter, said sunny conditions were expected to dominate for the next few days.

Pretoria will see more sunshine this coming weekend following heavy rains, flooding and thunderstorms.

Earlier this week thunderstorms accompanied by hail, damaged roads, roofs, and uprooted trees in parts of Pretoria.

On Thursday morning, SA Weather forecaster, Wayne Venter, said sunny conditions were expected to dominate for the next few days.

“There is a 30% chance of thunderstorms this afternoon but overall we are expecting partly cloudy conditions.”

For Friday, temperatures will shoot up nicely to 29 degrees with sunny conditions expected,” he said.

Venter said Saturday and Sunday will see temperatures reach the 30s.
