Ambassadors Club 100 back in the game after Covid break

Chairman Ina Wilken said each month the group collects items to donate to charity.

The Ambassadors Club 100, a 40-year-old ladies organisation aimed at uniting women, was relieved to be returning to its events and socialising calendar when lockdown levels were relaxed.

The Ambassadors Club 100 is a non-profit ladies organisation established in 1980.

A group of strong women started the club with the goal of creating a universal, cultural and social togetherness within the group. The group aims to create a safe and relaxing space for women of all backgrounds to unwind and to socialise. The women enjoy motivational speeches and artists that perform for them regularly.

On Thursday, 19 November the club had a fun-filled year-end function at Pretoria Country Club with guest Jannie Moolman taking to the stage.

“The year of 2020 will be ingrained in our minds for the rest of our lives. Things changed drastically for us all, people changed, our surroundings and our ideas of normality changed. It’s indeed a year we are truly relieved to be over.

“To dream the impossible dream, to fight the unbeatable foe, to bear the unbearable sorrow, to run where the brave do not go,” by Eleanor Roosevelt was the day’s slogan.

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

Some fantastic prizes were handed over on the day.

The Ambassador’s Club function takes place each month starting in February and ending with a year-end celebration in November.
