Two killed in Bronkhorstspruit shooting
Two men in their thirties were shot and killed by unknown assailants in Zithobeni.
Police are searching for a group of men who were involved in the shooting and killing of two men in Bronkhorstspruit on Friday afternoon.
Motheo Makau (36) and Papi Mamba (33) were killed when five unknown assailants opened fire at them and a group of other people.
Police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubela said the incident took place around 15:00 at a section called Marikana.
“It is alleged that about five people were meeting when they were approached by five suspects who were driving a Polo,” he said.
“[The suspects] opened fire, killing two of them.”
Makhubela said the motive of the attack was unknown.
He urged anyone with information to contact their nearest police station or give an anonymous tip on 08600-10111.
