Man stabbed several times during a suspected robbery in Centurion

“The man sustained moderate injuries and received first aid from bystanders to help stop the bleeding,” – Cert SA paramedics.

A man was injured when he was stabbed several times during a suspected robbery on Friday in Centurion.

Cert-SA paramedics, who responded to the scene, reported that the man was stabbed several times when alleged robbers tried to rob him of his backpack and other personal belongings in a garage near John Vorster Road in Zwartkop, Centurion

The paramedics said the incident happened around 21:00 and the robbers fled the scene with his phone.

“The man sustained moderate injuries and received first aid from bystanders to help stop the bleeding,” Cert-SA said in a statement.

“The patient was stabilised on the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital by Gauteng Emergency Medical Services.”

Police have opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances leading up to the incident.

Lyttleton police and the Gauteng Emergency Medical Services responded to the incident.
