Laudium man busted with cocaine
During their patrol, police spotted a suspicious-looking man standing in front of a gate in one of the houses in Emerald Street.
A 32-year-old man was arrested for possession of drugs in Laudium over the weekend.
He was arrested during a regular police patrol in the area on Saturday.
During their, patrol police spotted a suspicious-looking man standing in front of a gate in one of the houses in Emerald Street, said Laudium police spokesperson Sergeant Simon Chokoe.
“The man was immediately searched and 40 small plastic bags containing cocaine was found together with 34 four small transparent plastic bags containing crystal meth,” he said.
He was arrested and taken to the Laudium police station.
The value of the drugs found was unknown, Chokoe said.
During weekend patrols, other suspects were arrested for various offences including pointing of a firearm, malicious damage to properties, assault and domestic violence.
Laudium police acting station commander Captain Solomon Monyamane applauded officers for continuous hard work and success.
