Search for Luke leads to another dog rescue
In the search for Luke the Beagle, another lost dog was found. Luke remains missing.
People all over Pretoria had joined in searching for the lost Beagle named Luke.
Luke has been missing since disappearing from his home in Theresa Park on 16 December 2020.
With social media post circulating daily, and a reward of R10 000 offered for Luke’s safe return, a mass search for the dog continued in the north of Pretoria.
This week, during the search, Pretoria North residents found another lost dog.
A female Jack Russel, hungry and dehydrated, was found and brought to a nearby animal shelter.
“The hungry doggy was found in the bushes, and Luke’s family immediately responded to help get her to safety,” read a post on ‘People Do Care/Mense Gee Om’ Facebook page.
The Facebook page, created by Luke’s owners: ‘Bring Luke Home’ already has more than 1 900 followers and shares posts surrounding the search on a daily basis.
Luke’s owner Soné Louw told Rekord that she would never give up hope on finding her beloved dog.
“I know he is still out there,” she said.
