Probe into bloody death of west man
"There were stones full of blood lying around the body and a bush knife was found next to the body."
Pretoria West police are investigating a case of murder after a 36-year-old man from Elandspoort was found lying on the ground with bloodied stones around him on Saturday.
Police spokesperson Sibongile Vuma said the deceased had head injuries that might have been caused by the stones found around him.
She could, however, not confirm if his death was because of mob justice.
“Upon investigation, no one knew or saw anything.
There were stones full of blood lying around the body and a bush knife was found next to the body. The motive behind his death is not known.”

She said that the body was identified by the victim’s girlfriend who allegedly told police that she last saw the deceased on Saturday around 20:00, saying he was going out with friends.
Police appealed to anyone with any information regarding the incident to come forward so that justice could prevail.
She said whistle-blowers will be kept anonymous because their safety mattered.
