Valhalla house and contents gutted in blaze
"As the EMS, we cannot confirm this information as to what the ignition source was. Our Firefighter found multiple gas cylinder bottles on scene and managed to prevent any fire spread.”
Tshwane emergency services responded to a fire on Tuesday, in Valhalla, Centurion, where a house caught fire.
Tshwane emergency services deputy chief and spokesperson Charles Mabaso said they were able to extinguish the fire after having three stations on the scene.
“The incident was reported around 17:15. The cause of the fire is still unclear.”
Mabaso said according to investigations, a gas cylinder bottle from a neighbouring site caught fire, which then extended to the house.
“However, as EMS we cannot confirm this information as to what the ignition source was. Our firefighters found multiple gas cylinder bottles on scene and managed to prevent any fire spread.”
Mabaso said the house and most of its contents had completely burned down.
No injuries were reported.
