No more cash at Tshwane’s nature reserves

“The implementation of this system means that no cash will be accepted as payment for entrance.”

The Tshwane metro has implemented a cashless payment system at some of its nature reserves.

The metro announced this week that the move was aimed at safeguarding its facilities and reducing cost and business risk.

“The implementation of this system means that no cash will be accepted as payment for entrance at the listed reserves,” said Tshwane spokesperson Lindela Mashigo.

“Customers paying with debit or credit cards for daily admission will get a 5% discount.”

The system will be implemented at the following nature reserves:

– Wonderboom Nature Reserve

– Faerie Glen Nature Reserve

– Rietvlei Nature Reserve

– Groenkloof Nature Reserve

Residents and members of the public are requested to co-operate and support the cashless payment system.
