Pretoria Eisteddfod announces winners of 2021
Despite challenges presented by the pandemic, the judging of the first session of Pretoria Eisteddfod was completed and boasted nine overall winners in their respective divisions.
Pretoria Eisteddfod has been presented annually by the South African Association of Music Teachers (SAVMO) since 1923, and is an established tradition on the cultural calendar.
In the words of the patroness, Dr Mimi Coertze, the eisteddfod has played an important role throughout the years in the “maturation process of many artists”.
The experience and opportunities offered to young emerging talent remained invaluable.
