Woman killed in N4 highway accident
The woman was found to have been ejected from the vehicle and flung into oncoming traffic.
A woman, believed to have been around 30-years-old, died when her motor vehicle rolled on the N4 highway on Thursday evening.
Two other people were also injured in the accident, which happened on the N4 eastbound in the vicinity of Boschkop Road.
“Upon arrival at the scene, we found a single light motor vehicle overturned several times before coming to a rest on the shoulder of the roadway,” Emer-G-Med said in a statement.
“The woman was found to have been ejected from the vehicle and flung into oncoming traffic where she was then struck by another vehicle.”

She was declared dead on the scene.
Two passengers, who were in the same car as the woman, sustained moderate injuries.
They were treated and stabilised on the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Emer-G-Med said local police were also on the scene and will be investigating the circumstance behind the accident.
