Three arrested following armed robbery
Three firearms allegedly hidden in the vehicle were also recovered.
Three men were arrested in the Sinoville policing precinct after an armed robbery at business premises in the Doornpoort area on Wednesday.
“A silver Volkswagen Caravelle pulled up at the premises. Four armed men jumped out and demanded money,” police spokesperson Warrant Officer Johan Van Dyk said.
This was reportedly shortly after an employee returned to the business premises after making a withdrawal of an undisclosed amount at a bank in the Montana area.
The money withdrawn was said to have been intended to pay workers.

“A lookout alert of the vehicle was then issued after it drove off,” he said, adding that it was spotted by law enforcement a short while afterwards.
“After the car was pulled over, three suspects were arrested while one managed to flee,” he said.
Three firearms that were allegedly hidden in the vehicle were also recovered.
