Rayton licencing centre refurbished

The Rayton licensing centre will now offer driving license renewals, application and testing for driving and learners’ licenses, registration and licensing of motor vehicles.

Tshwane Mayor as well as the MMC for transport launched the newly refurbished Rayton licencing centre on Monday morning.

The centre had been closed for upgrades to transform the facility into a modern and client-friendly service centre.

“The launch forms part of Tshwane’s October Transport Month programme,” Randall Williams said.

“Another practical consideration that informed the temporary closure of the Rayton centre was the fact that services were offered at two different sites and that compromised efficiency and quality of service rendered.”

Services will now be offered at one site and will include driving licence renewals, application and testing for driving and learners’ licences, registration, and licencing of motor vehicles.

“I was particularly pleased to note all the new features that are geared towards improving customer experience, these include a spacious public waiting area, free Wi-Fi, safe parking bays, a reception and client service counter among many other new features,” Williams said.

“Today’s relaunch is also expected to bring some relief to Bronkhorstspruit and Waltloo licencing service stations which picked up the traffic from Rayton when it was closed.”

The centre will be open to members of the public from Tuesday, October 19.

However, the booking of slots for Rayton will be loaded today on the NaTIS system.
