‘May 2022 be prosperous for all’ – Centurion councillors
We cannot make the past better, but we can always improve the future.

Ward councillors of Centurion shared their New Year’s wishes with residents.

DA councillor of ward 64, Casper McDonald, said: “on this new year, may your happiness be double-folded each passing day and your work more fruitful for a better life”.
“May this new year be a joyful ride for you and your family and may true happiness, longevity and good fortune be with you all. I wish you a happy joyful and prosperous New Year.”
May the festive season be a time of grace, said Cindy Billson, DA councillor of ward 69.

“One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. ‘Which road do I take?’ she asked. ‘Where do you want to go?’ was his response. ‘I don’t know,’ said Alice. ‘Then,’ the cat said, ‘it doesn’t matter’.”
“Be safe, all, and let us indeed establish our path – and follow that with passion during 2022.”
Alderman Peter Sutton, DA councillor of ward 78, wished every resident a prosperous New Year.

“May you all spend New Year in peace with family members and loved ones. We have been through a difficult year, but I believe that 2022 will be a prosperous year for us all.
“The DA will do everything in its power to turn things around and improve communities. We will continue to rebuild and move forward and leave the past behind us. We cannot make the past better, but we can always improve the future.”
He urged residents to be safe.
“I wish everyone a healthy New Year. This pandemic brought home that the only things that matter are health and family. Cherish them while you can,” said David Farquharson, DA councillor of ward 57.

Ina Strijdom, DA councillor of ward 66, wished “each resident in my ward as well as the broader Centurion a wonderful Christmas”.
“If you are fortunate enough to spend the holiday away from home, please travel safely.”
She said those, like her, who will spend time at home, should enjoy every minute with their family members.

“Family is precious, please cherish each other.”
Marika Kruger-Muller, DA councillor of ward 70, said her wish for each resident of Centurion this new year, is: happiness, love, and health.

“May this new year be one filled with happy memories with your family, friends, and loved ones. If this year has taught us one thing: cherish the precious moments and people in your life.”
