Rainy week ahead

Localised flooding also expected in low-lying areas.

A rainy week was expected in Pretoria, the SA Weather Service said on Sunday.

Forecaster Kumsa Masizana said a 60%chance of rain along with level four severe thunderstorms were expected by late afternoon into the evening.

Level four means the thunderstorms carry a high risk of damage to infrastructure.

“There is also a possibility of localised flooding,” she said.

Masizana further said that a 30% chance of rain was also expected on both Monday and Tuesday.

“There will once again be a 60% chance of rain from Wednesday,” she said.

A 30% chance of rain was once again anticipated on Friday.

“Temperatures throughout the week will range between 26 and 28 degrees,” Masizana said.
