Tiny tattoo day at bar makes a mark

“We had a similar event last year in May. It was very successful and there was a big demand to hold another event.”

Great vibes and spirit reigned among friends at the Fokof Bar on Saturday, February 12. The bar, in collaboration with tattoo artist George Georgiou, hosted a “tiny tattoo” day.

The restaurant, situated in Lynnwood Road, opened its doors three years ago.

Owner Robert Perreira and manager Anthony Cullen.

Tattoos were chosen from a flashcard – all of them Fokof Bar inspired. You could choose from a variety of designs such as a cactus, a lighted match or lightning bolts.

Owner Robert Perreria said there was a big turnout.

“We started at 11:30 and over 70 tattoos will be done today.

“We had a similar event last year in May. It was so successful and there was a big demand to hold another one,” he said.

Friends Shani van Eck and Yvette Carstens said that Georgiou is an amazing artist.

“George has done all of our tattoos and we can definitely recommend him. He is very talented.”
