"The newly elected executive committee is dedicated to the community and we will do our utmost best to get the community involved."
Susan Andrews was elected the chairperson of Villieria CPF during the annual executive committee elections.
It is the first time she had been elected as chairperson.
The voting took place at the Valley Methodist Church on the corners of Ben Swart Street and 29th Avenue.
Three positions, namely that of deputy secretary, public relations officer as well as training co-ordinator, are still vacant.
“We had a good turnout from the community for the voting, but not as much as in the past. We will be focusing on how to get the community more involved with the CPF,” said Andrews.
She said they need the community’s help.
“The CPF needs more patrollers,” she said.
Andrews said that she was excited at the new challenges that lay ahead.
“The newly elected executive committee is dedicated to the community. We will do our utmost best to get them involved.”
