"We assume he was on his way to the hospital as a towel was wrapped around the wound."
A well-known security officer from the Moot died on Monday after paramedics found him with a stab wound to the chest at an accident scene.
“We assume he was on his way to the hospital as a towel was wrapped around the wound,” said Xander Loubser of Ambu-Link emergency medical services.
The security officer, identified as Arthur Dobson, was found after being involved in a motor vehicle accident this afternoon where a motorist drove into a pole.
The accident took place on the corners of Fred Nicholson Street and Lambert Lee Avenue in Mayville, Pretoria.

According to Loubser, they were called out to the scene where they removed Dobson from the driver’s seat.
“We suspect that he might have lost consciousness while driving,” he said.
Loubser said that they performed CPR on Dobson, but after 20 minutes he showed no signs of life.
“He was declared dead on the scene.”
Dobson’s death has left community members in shock.
Messages of condolences to his family, friends and former colleagues were shared on social media platforms.
