Simultaneous high-density operations across Tshwane led to a total of 350 arrests between Thursday and Sunday.
These operations led by acting district commissioner Brigadier Samuel Thine included roadblocks, stop-and-searches, foot patrols, tracing of wanted suspects, compliance inspections at second-hand goods dealers, and raids at illegal liquor outlets.

In one of the successes, a man was arrested in Temba for possession of a hijacked vehicle (Toyota Yaris), said police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe.
She said that the vehicle was reportedly hijacked in Lyttelton and investigations were ongoing to find out if he was involved in the hijacking of the vehicle.
In another major arrest, a 58-year-old man was arrested after four suspected stolen goats were found crammed into a car’s boot in Stinkwater on Saturday morning.
The suspect could not account for where the goats came from and he was arrested on the scene, Temba police said earlier.
The goats will be handed to the stock theft unit and the vehicle will be impounded as it was involved in the commission of a crime.

Selepe said that the Tshwane Detectives also managed to nab 86 people for gender-based crimes against women and children.
On Thursday afternoon, 43 people – two of them police officers – were arrested for their alleged involvement in two incidents of taxi violence that wracked Lyttelton, Centurion.
The arrests came after police responded to a report of shots being fired at Botha Avenue and Alexandra Street on Thursday, where several taxis were seen parked.
Suspects are to appear in various magistrate’s courts soon.
Brigadier Thine has commended senior management and the heads of other law enforcement agencies for the integrated approach towards fighting crime.
