“The man sustained two gunshot wounds: one to the back and another to the chest,” police spokesperson Warrant Officer Isaac Mculu said. Police have opened a murder case.

The corpse was seen by passing-by learners and residents who were on their way to work.

The body was covered with a blanket when the police arrived, but Mculu said it was in public view as it was not too far from one of the main streets in the area. Mculu said the circumstances surrounding the death were not known.

“Some of the residents believe that the man was killed elsewhere and dumped there.

Others say he may have been shot while people were sleeping.”
