Two arrested in metro police operations
The arrests were made in Heuweloord and Sunnyside.
Two people were arrested in separate incidents by the Tshwane metro police department (TMPD) officers on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
In a statement, TMPD said a man was arrested in Heuweloord, in Centurion, when tactical and crime intelligence unit members raided his house on Saturday.

“They were following up on information regarding a person selling alcohol with no liquor licence and being in possession of an unlicenced firearm,” the statement said.
After searching the premises, the officers found he was unlawfully in possession of fuel and diesel.

The man was also selling liquor without a licence and illicit cigarettes.
“He was arrested and will appear in court soon.”
In the other incident, a man was arrested for both possession of and dealing in drugs in Sunnyside.

“The suspect was at a block of flats which is notorious for drug activity,” the statement said.
The man was found in possession of crystal meth and CAT valued at an estimated amount of more than R30 000.
