Titans and Tshwane South College head log standings
Overview of the Safa Tshwane Regional League consisting of Stream A and B.
Titans Football Club and Tshwane South College Football Club are currently the top teams of the Safa Tshwane Regional League.
According to the latest log standings of both A and B regional league divisions, Titans lead Stream A of the Regional League by 42 points in 18 games and Tshwane South College leads Stream B with also 42 points but in 17 matches.
Spartak Football Club is in the second position of Stream A with 41 points in 17 games. The team is a serious threat to the Titans since it has a game in hand and also a goal difference in their favour. This simply means when Spartak plays a draw in their next match, they would collect a point and move to the top of the log due to a goal difference in its favour since together with its rivals will be having equal points. Spartak has 24 goal difference while Titans have 23.
Winning the next match will mean Spartak will lead the log by a point ahead of its rivals in 18 matches. The only thing that can currently eliminate the Titans threat is if Spartak loses its 18th game.
Should Titans win their upcoming game against Ga-Rankuwa United Football Club at the Rankuwa Stadium on Saturday at 13:00, they will have played two games more than those of Spartak. However, this will only last for two hours until Spartak play Thaba Tshwane United Football Club at the Eersterust Stadium on the same day. The two weekend games will still leave Spartak with a game in hand as it will have played 18 games while the log leaders will have played 19.
The teams facing relegations in Stream A are Lorna Fast XI Football Club with 10 points in 16 games and a worse performing Tivanathi Football Club with just 3 points in 17 matches.
Except for Titans and Spartak, the top four of Stream A consists of RRR Rams Football Club with 34 points and Golden City Rockers Football Club with 33 in positions three and four respectively.
The rest of the teams that have made it into the top eight are Soshanguve South Football Club in position five with 32 points, Eersterus United Football Club in position six with 29, Tshwane University of Technology Football Club in position seven with 25 and PHSOB Falcons Football Club in position eight with 24.
In Stream B, Tshwane South College seems currently safe in the top spot of the log. Although the University of Pretoria Football Club, in position two, has a game in hand with 39 points in 16 matches, winning its next game and gaining three points to level the points with its rival will not help it to head the log owing to a goal difference in favour of log leaders. They will need to score at least 15 goals and concede none to be above Tshwane South College in 17 games.
Facing relegations in Stream B is Tshwane United Football Club with 13 points in 17 games and a worse performing Liverpool Football Club at the moment with just 4 points in 17 matches.
Except for Tshwane South College and the University of Pretoria, the top four of Stream B consists of Mike One Stars Football Club with 37 points and Chillie Boys Football Club with 29 in positions three and four respectively.
The rest of the teams that have made it into the top eight are Pretoria Athletic Football Club in position five with 24 points, Ma-Lions Football Club in position six with 24, Touch Football Club in position seven with 24 and the Club Sport Maritimo in position eight with 24.
