“We are pleading with anyone with information in the community to come forward regarding the assault.”
Austin said there was still no indication as to why Seeger was attacked on the day.
Seeger had been in an induced coma after he was assaulted by the unknown men in front of a hardware store in Rietfontein on January 15.
He reportedly got into his vehicle around 21:30 after he left a local pub in the Moot, when two men attacked him while he was already in his vehicle.
Seeger was rushed to Netcare Montana hospital the next morning after his wife, Marleza, noticed something was seriously wrong with her husband.
The Seegers have been living in the Moot since 2009.
