Two men sentenced to 15 years in prison for business robbery
The suspects were working as trolley personnel at a mall in Centurion when the victim recognised them on CCTV footage from the day of the robbery.
Two men, Ludwick Pukane (26) and Daniel Serumole (26), were sentenced to 15 years in prison on March 22 for a robbery they committed in March 2018.
Olievenhoutbosch police spokesperson Pretty Mokadi, said the two suspects, who were armed with knives, were found guilty of business robbery.
She said they robbed a business in Olievenhoutbosch in 2018 and fled the scene.
Mokadi said the suspects were working as trolley personnel at a mall in Centurion when the victim recognised them from the day of the robbery.
“Upon checking the CCTV footage of the robbery, we confirmed that it was them and they were arrested.
“They were on trial and in custody ever since the arrests were made,” Mokadi said.
After years of being on trial, the Pretoria magistrate’s court sentenced them to 15 years in prison.
“It was through the hard work and dedication of the assigned detective, Sergeant Mokwebu,” said Mokadi.
