Parts of Pretoria in the dark

Parts of Equestria, Brummeria, Lynnwood Glen, Lynnwood Ridge, Die Wilgers, Val De Grace and the Willows have been without electricity since 10:00 on April 5.

Ward 46 and 85 of Tshwane are still without electricity after a power outage occurred on Tuesday morning, April 5 at 10:00.

According to the City of Tshwane’s Twitter account, both wards were supplied by the Willows substation.

The metro said this morning that technicians have commenced work at the substation.

“The power outage has affected parts of Equestria, Brummeria, Lynnwood Glen, Lynnwood Ridge, Die Wilgers, Val De Grace and the Willows,” said the metro.

Speaking to Rekord, ward councilor Pieter van Heerden, said the outage was caused by a power trip at the Willows substation.

“We don’t know what time the electricity will come back but I can confirm that the City is working on it,” he said.

Van Heerden said it is important for the city to first investigate other problems that could potentially arise due to this outage.
