Police arrest three women for dealing in drugs
"She tried to bribe the police officer with R1 000, which was confiscated."
Police arrested three women in different parts of Lotus Gardens for dealing in drugs, last Wednesday.
The women were arrested by the Tshwane Taxi Task Team who received information regarding the dealings from crime intelligence.
“The three addresses were visited in Lotus Gardens. One of the women was arrested in Moswana Street. She was found with nyaope worth R2 000,” said Constable Sibongile Vuma.

Vuma said the second woman (46) was arrested in Anther Avenue for being in possession of drugs, dealing in drugs and for trying to bribe an official during her arrest.
“The suspected was found in possession of drugs known as ‘rock’ worth R2 600, nyaope worth R5 000 and another drug called crystal meth worth R6 000.
“She tried to bribe a police officer with R1 000, which was confiscated. She was then arrested for being in possession of drugs and bribery of officials doing their duties.”

She said the last woman (68) was arrested for possession of drugs (nyaope) worth R8 000 in Mafa Crescent.
The station commander, Colonel Nkwana, applauded the police for a good job done and warned those who continue to sell drugs that police will not hesitate to arrest them.
Vuma said the women were detained at the Pretoria West police station and will be appearing at the Pretoria magistrate’s court soon.
