Tshwane residents should expect a 60% chance of rain over the weekend, the third consecutive weekend of possible rain in the province.
No flooding has been identified in any part of Tshwane but updates will be sent throughout the weekend to alert residents if necessary, said South African Weather Service forecaster Luthando Masimini.
“We are closely monitoring the weather system and updates will be given if there are any upgrades to the current forecast,” he said.
He added that the weather should clear up by Monday with a 30% chance of rain. Residents were advised to drive carefully in the rain and follow necessary precautions.
