Would-be thieves found sleeping at the crime scene
“After praying for her, I told her the thieves would come and she would find them sleeping in her yard. They will not get away with any of her belongings, they will learn a lesson.”
A Hammanskraal woman got the shock of her life last week when she woke up to find two would-be thieves sleeping on her doorstep with her belongings.
The woman, Nthabiseng Khoza, said she found the men sleeping on the doorstep on Wednesday, April 13.
She said while she was sleeping in her room, two men broke into her room and stole her TV, microwave and amplifier, however, they could not escape the scene.
“I was sleeping in the room and they broke into the house, they took the television, microwave and an amplifier. I woke up because I started feeling cold.
“When I walked to the door, I saw a man sleeping with my TV near his feet and the other one was sleeping near my microwave and amplifier.
“We tried waking them up, but they did not wake up. I then called my priest to come because these people would not wake up. When he arrived, he prayed and poured water over them and they woke up.”

According to her, this was because of her priest’s prayer.
“In the previous years, during the Easter holidays my place was burgled twice,” said Khoza.
“But my priest came to pray for me recently and he left a bible behind in the room. He promised me that the bible would protect me.”
Khoza said after the burglars woke up, they asked for forgiveness and promised that they would never do anything like this again.
“When the police arrived, they told me I should open a case but I told them that I forgive the burglars because I got my things back.”

Bishop Isaac Leduka said Khoza had previously told her that she had a problem with people who were stealing from her.
Leduka, who refers to himself as a prophesying bishop, then went to Khoza’s house to pray for her.
“After praying for her, I told her the thieves would come and she would find them sleeping in her yard. They will not get away with any of her belongings, they will learn a lesson,” he told Rekord.
“I received a call at around 05:00 that the thieves had been caught and were not waking up as I had predicted.
“I had my own way of waking them up with water that I prayed for. When they woke up, they were confused but they started asking for forgiveness and promised they would never do something like this again.
“I gave them a prophecy and warned them that if they do it elsewhere, I would know and they would go to jail.”
Leduka said he specialised in the protection of people and their belongings, including livestock against theft and intimidation by criminals.
He refers to this as his “God-given talent” and “how God wants him to work”.
Temba police spokesperson Herman Moremi confirmed that a case was not opened.
Moremi said if a complainant decided not to open a case, they as the police cannot force them to do so.
