With the runaway success of the first two editions, the decision was made to host BOXOP 3, but this time with a twist that will whip up a whirlwind of speculation about the outcome between Gerber and Burger.

The third edition of BOXOP 3 will see actress and influencer Angelique Gerber and rock musician and recent winner of The Voice SA winner, Tasché Burger go head-to-head in the boxing ring.
The event is set to take place at SuperSport Park in Centurion on Saturday, July 30.
The franchise that brought a whole new world of celebrity boxing on both national and international levels in 2021 is growing at warp speed.
BOXOP 1 saw rock royalty Francois van Coke and former Blue Bulls fly half, Derick Hougaard in the ring. After an intense build-up and non-stop speculation about the outcome, Van Coke was crowned as champion.
Viewers around South Africa and the world gave the fight a massive thumbs-up and soon after the second edition took place between Prime Circle’s frontman Ross Learmonth and comedian Kevin Fraser in November. Learmonth beat his opponent.
With the runaway success of the first two editions, the decision was made to host BOXOP 3, but this time with a twist that will whip up a whirlwind of speculation about the outcome between Gerber and Burger.
Both components will undergo rigorous training to prepare them for the “showdown of the year” over the next few months.
They will also use the BOXOP platform to fight for causes close to their hearts such as eradicating the scourge of gender-based violence in all its manifestations in the country.
They also aim to share the message that tolerance and acceptance are not a dream, but a norm that could be cultivated in societies across South Africa.
“I am participating in BOXOP as part of my long-term commitment to help mitigate the impact of gender-based violence and raise funds for the family protection association, a non-profit organisation dedicated to rescuing women and children from abusive and violent situations,” said Gerber.
