Two at large, while 23-year-old due in docks for armed robbery at Sosh surgery
The man was arrested for robbing a delivery vehicle that was offloading medical properties at a surgery in the north of Pretoria this week.
Two fugitives are wanted by police, while their accomplice was due to appear in the Soshanguve magistrate’s court soon following an armed robbery at a surgery in Block GG on Monday.
The 23-year-old suspect will face charges of armed robbery after he was arrested for robbing a delivery vehicle offloading medical supplies at a surgery in Soshanguve Block GG.
Rietgat police spokesperson Captain Stephen Maluleka said police immediately responded when they were alerted about the crime by community members.
Maluleka said preliminary investigations suggested that the three fled the scene in a white Toyota Quest Sedan.

He said police followed them to Block A where the suspect was cornered and arrested at a house with the assistance of the TMPD and the community.
“A firearm as well as medical properties, textbooks among other suspected stolen goods were later recovered not far from where the suspect was arrested.”
Maluleka said the books could have been stolen from a local school; however, an investigation into the matter was underway to determine where the items came from.
Rietgat SAPS called on the community to come forward with information that may lead to the accomplices’ arrests.

Maluleka said anyone who witnessed the criminal activity and had information could contact the police on 071 675 6250 or Crime Stop number 08600 10111 or station commander Brigadier Molatelo Maphoto on 082 455 8236.
