Well-known Ga-Rankuwa businessman shot dead

Owner of LSU Pub & Grill Backyard, Moshe Lesutu, was shot dead in his car by unknown suspects.

Well-known businessman Moshe Lesutu was shot and killed in Ga-Rankuwa on Saturday, June 18 by unknown suspects.

Lesutu was in his car with a man, believed to be a friend, when the shooting happened, said police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo.

Masondo said the shooting happened at approximately 21:30 and the passenger who was in the car with him sustained critical injuries.

He said the two victims were transported to a nearby hospital where Lesutu was declared dead on arrival.

“The motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage, but a case of murder and attempted murder has been opened.

“The suspects are unknown and a manhunt has been launched to find them,” he said.

Moshe was loved by many as he was the owner of a popular pub in Ga-Rankuwa zone 16 known as LSU Pub & Grill Backyard.

Ga-Rankuwa residents took to social media to express their heartfelt condolences to his family. Many believed that it was a targeted hit.

Police are appealing to anyone who might have information that can help during the investigation process or in arresting the suspects to please call the nearest police station or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
