Fathers celebrated in Atteridgeville
The fathers received clothes in celebration of Fathers Day.
The PEG foundation donated clothes to men in Atteridgeville, Moshongo in commemoration of Father’s Day last Saturday.
The founder of the foundation, Bongani Putsoane said fathers were seldom celebrated but were mostly known for being abusers.
“Thus, I thought of celebrating them because all negative descriptions do not apply to all males.
“I believe that there are still good men out there who should be celebrated and appreciated.
“We donated the clothes to celebrate and honour fathers for trying and fighting every day for their families.
Over 20 men received clothes.

Putsoane said the clothes were donated by individual households.
“We asked for clothes they no longer wore. Instead of throwing or burning them, we can use them to secure one’s life,” he said.
The PEG foundation wants to impact individuals and restore communities.
“The organisation empowers and equips communities to take the initiative in building and shaping their lives.
“It mentors the community in religion, family, education, politics, business, arts and entertainment.”
Putsoane is also an author and motivational speaker who has been involved in feeding schemes in schools around the world.
He has also provided leadership skills to many learners in schools.

Putsoane thanked everyone who participated in making the clothes drive a success.
“We appreciate all the donations that were made and indeed the fathers of Atteridgeville received all the donations well.”
Putsoane said they are going to have another event where they give back to the community in July but they are still going to decide on where it will be held.
