The AERO aviation trade show returns after two-year break

The trade show will take place from July 7 to 9 at the Wonderboom National Airport.

After a two year break owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, the AERO South Africa aviation trade show returns to Wonderboom National Airport from July 7 to 9.

AERO South Africa is Africa’s largest general aviation trade show which covers the full spectrum of services and products of the aviation industry.

The second instalment of the show will have a direct impact on job creation in the aerospace and hospitality and tourism industries.

It also has a high potential to facilitate access to young people and emerging businesses.

The City of Tshwane concluded a three-year agreement with Micro Finance SA to host AERO from 2022 to 2024.

Metro mayor Randall Williams said this agreement is in line with the metro’s plan to complete a world-class intermodal facility in Wonderboom that will integrate various transport modes and allow commuters easy access to transport links such as trains, bus rapid transit buses, minibus taxis and non-motorised transport facilities.

The three-day event offers various opportunities to local small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) and clients by strengthening business relationships between local and international general aviation businesses.

“Wonderboom National Airport has a great potential as a key driver for economic growth and employment.

“I look forward to attending the opening day of this wonderful aviation trade show on Thursday,” he said.
