Gin is a win this month
Friends and family gather for a sunny day of festivities and gin.
Pretoria residents came out in their numbers for the monthly festival at Friends at Kimiad on Saturday – the drink of the month being gin.
The monthly festival held at the venue in the east of Pretoria sees family and friends being treated to a variety of brands and products as well as tastings galore.
The drinks were bottomless, with a selection of classic as well as new brands to sample from at more than seven stalls.
The restaurant remained open and fully operational while the weather played along to offer a perfect day for outdoor socialising.
Marne Botha, Alicia van der Walt, Nadine Lategan and Lume Lombard (in the photo) enjoyed the sun while making sure to try all the gins on offer. Pretoria east resident Anneline van Wyk (in photo) said “all of the brands are winners”. She and her friends had a good time, she said.

Drinks weren’t the only items on display. Innovative and new additions to the “drink’s world” included flavoured pearls similar to the popular Boba “bubbles drink” and a drink flavouring fizz bomb that works like a mixture or cordial for any drink.
Flavoured drops and carefully measured dry ice added an extra touch and created “insta-ready cocktails”.
