Tshwane FM nominated for sports show award
Two years of hard work for Tshwane FM producer and presenter Lloyd Phahlane paid off.

Lloyd Phahlane’s Tshwane FM show has been nominated for this year’s Liberty Radio Awards.
The station received a nomination for Best Campus and Community Sports show for the “The Sport’s Centre” show.
The producer and presenter, who has only been in the radio industry less than two years, said he was delighted to see his work acknowledged and recognised by South Africa’s biggest radio awards.

“The nomination by itself shows that the work is being recognised. Bringing it home will just be a cherry on top,” he said.
He said winning the award would be a sign that the station is on the right track.
Although he didn’t receive an individual nomination for his work on the show, Phahlane said he welcomes the nomination the show received because it covers the people who are silently behind the show.
“I’m not a person who takes credit all to himself. Even if I would win an individual award, I’d still dedicate it to those lovely people who always have a hand in the work we do,” he said.
