Man freed from car after early morning Hatfield crash
A Kia sedan smashed into a tree at high speed and advanced life support paramedics had to stabilise the driver.
A man had to be cut out from the wreckage of his vehicle after he smashed into a tree in Hatfield in the early hours on Friday, November 11.
“Our paramedics responded just before 03:00 on Friday morning to the scene of a collision involving a light motor vehicle on South Street,” said Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen.
He said that when paramedics arrived on the scene, a Kia sedan was found to have crashed into a tree at high speed.
The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle and trapped therein with serious injuries.
“Advanced life support paramedics worked fervently to stabilise him,” the statement read.
This while the man was cut free using the so-called “jaws-of-life”.
Once freed, he was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further care.
