Night-time road closures at Menlyn

Metro police have issued a notice to residents that Atterbury Road, next to the Menlyn shopping centre, will be closed from 21:00 to 05:00 every night from November 16 to November 22 for the installation of a billboard that extends over the road.

The road will be closed every night during these hours until November 22.

“Please note the road closures from November 16-22 at Atterbury Road (M11) between Lois Avenue and Mante Road next to Menlyn centre due to the construction of a billboard by the JC Decaux construction company.”

Metro police said that the billboard will span the entire road.

“Motorists who are travelling in the area during those times were urged to use alternative routes such as Lynnwood and Garsfontein roads,” the notice read.

Metro police said that officers would be deployed to monitor the road closures.
