One killed, one injured in Stormvoël filling station shooting
A case of murder and attempted murder has been opened at the Villieria police station and is being investigated by the police.
One person was killed and another injured in a shooting at a filling station on the corner of Anna Wilson Street and Stormvoël Road on Wednesday morning.
“According to an eyewitness, on Wednesday, at a time unknown, the deceased was at the above mentioned address,” said Villieria police station spokesperson, Marinda Austin.
“The witness said that three people were together eating at a fast food outlet when a white Toyota Yaris with three occupants arrived on the scene.
“According to the witness, two occupants got out of the Yaris and started shooting.
“One person managed to run away, another person was shot in the leg and the third was shot and killed,” she said.
A case of murder and attempted murder has been opened at the Villieria police station and is being investigated.
No arrest has been made.
Kilner Park Security were also on the scene and stated the incident happened around 07:00.
