Roodeplaat Residents rescue 1.5 meters long crocodile
The 1.5 meters long crocodile was unharmed and was safely returned to the farm about 10km from where it was found.
Roodeplaat residents in the North of Pretoria on Monday spotted a 1.5-meter crocodile next to the road.
According to a resident who lives nearby, Pieter Pieterse, it was the second time residents spotted a crocodile in the area.
“This is the second one we have seen in Kameeldrift. It was not very long,” said Pieterse.

He said the crocodile came from a crocodile farm, which he said was about 10km from where it was found.
Pieterse said the crocodile was unharmed and was safely returned to the farm.
Another resident, Stella Louw, said: “I suspect the crocodile might have came out of the river.
“I know there is a farm nearby but I have never encountered such an animal,” Louw told Rekord.
She said the crocodile was just meters away from a school. However, there were no learners at the school because of the holidays.
