How to access your matric results

You can use many platforms to find your matric results after publication.

Finding your matric results has never been easier with multiple platforms now available. You can find those all-important results here:

Online

Matric results can be viewed on the Department of Basic Education’s (DBE) site as well as the Gauteng department of education’s website.

These sites are zero-rated so learners need not worry about data charges.

MatricsMate App

SABC Education and the DBE developed the app to make it easier for learners to access their matric results. The app will allow users to see their results as soon as they are made available on the day of publication.

SMS

Receive your result via text by sending your examination number to 35658. Once your matric results are available, they will be sent to you. This service is charged at R1.50 per SMS.

USSD

View your results once they have been published by dialling *120*35658*. Follow the prompts by inputting the relevant information. This service is charged at R1.50 per minute.

Newspaper

Matric results will be published in major daily newspapers. These papers can sell out quickly though, so be sure to get a copy early.

Some major online publications will also publish the results. Learners would have been asked to consent to their results being made public for them to appear in these publications.

School

Matric results will be available from the school or facility where you were registered to write your matric exams from noon.
