One dead in Solomon Mahlangu Drive accident

The accident occurred on April 1 where a man sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on arrival of paramedics.

A pedestrian died in an accident in Moreleta Park that occurred just past 20:00 on April 1.

According to Emer-G-Med spokesperson, Kyle van Reenan, the incident took place on Solomon Mahlangu drive.

“Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a collision involving a light motor vehicle and a pedestrian on Solomon Mahlangu Drive,” he said.

When medics arrived, they found a man aged in his 30s had been struck by a vehicle.

The man sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on arrival of paramedics.

“The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 20s, was treated and stabilised on scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care,” said Van Reenen.

Police have yet to comment.
