Tshwane metro police show teeth ahead of Easter weekend

“These operations are aimed at reducing unlawful behaviour on the roads by increasing visibility during the Easter period.”

In this week leading to Easter weekend, the metro police in Tshwane have already imposed over 1 000 fines, impounded 70 vehicles and made some arrests as a warning to other motorists looking to disregard road-user laws.

This was as the metro police kicked off its Easter season operations this week in Soshanguve, Mabopane, Mamelodi and Eersterust.
