Nu Metro: Sink your teeth into this

One bite and all resistance crumbles… Nicholas Cage stars as Dracula in the new horror-comedy Renfield (16 DHLV) – at Nu Metro cinemas in Pretoria from Friday, April 14.

In this modern monster tale of Dracula’s loyal servant, Nicholas Hoult stars as Renfield, the tortured aide to history’s most narcissistic boss. But now, after centuries of servitude, Renfield is ready to see if there’s a life outside the shadow of The Prince of Darkness.

Starting this weekend, there’s also a spectacular new anime movie at Nu Metro Menlyn Park. Suzume (7-9PG V) tells the story of a 17-year-old girl who meets a young man on a journey “looking for doors”. It’s an action-packed fantasy adventure filled with stunning animated imagery. For music fans, Spinning Gold (16 DLV), starts showing at Nu Metro Menlyn Park this weekend. This musical drama tells the true-life story of Neil Bogart, who launched Casablanca Records in the 1970s, giving rise to such musical acts as Donna Summer, Parliament, Gladys Knight, the Isley Brothers, the Village People, Bill Withers and KISS. Along with a rag-tag team of young music lovers, Casablanca Records rewrites history and changes the industry forever.
