To achieve this goal 16 TMPD Region 1 sector 2 members were sent to undergo motor bike training and defensive driving training to form part of the task team said Brink.

“These members are deployed in the Rosslyn industrial area daily for crime prevention and to ensure safety for businesses and residents around the area,” he added.

MMC for Community Safety Grandi Theunissen elaborated that the Rosslyn Improvement District will operate as a metro improvement district as formalised within the metros.

The four focus areas will include:
– Environment and beautification
– Safety and security
– Technical infrastructure and roads
– Community engagement and development
“With the Rosslyn Improvement District and Hatfield CID now firmly established, I believe we can roll out these initiatives in other parts of Tshwane.

“The two projects embody the much needed and efficient cooperation between the private sector and local government that is critical to truly take the capital city forward.

“While negotiations with the Office of the City Manager are in the final stage to formalise the roles and responsibilities into a memorandum of understanding, I want to encourage all businesses in the Rosslyn area to join the RID,” he said.
