12 injured in Mamelodi collision

The collision involved several vehicles including a minibus taxi.

Twelve people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Mamelodi on Wednesday evening, the attending paramedic service has confirmed.

The collision happened around 18:00 in Lesedi Street in Nellmapius, Mamelodi, according to STVA/Lifemed spokesperson Dean Slater.

The exact details surrounding the cause of the accident, which included a minibus taxi, are unknown at this stage.

Slater said the injuries were moderate and there were no fatalities.

All injured people were transported to a nearby health facility.

The police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
