Home to 250 animals in the north needs funds for vaccines

Animal Ambulance is seeking sponsorship for their much needed vaccinations for its animal’s well-being.

Animal Ambulance Shelter desperately needs funds for its animals’ annual vaccinations.

The shelter is home to about 250 different types of animals.

The annual vaccination drive starts in September.

“So far, only 12 dogs and five farm animals out of 250 have been sponsored,” said manager Katia van Dyk.

She said the annual vaccine drive is important.

Van Dyk said vaccinations are essential.

“Vaccines are good for the well-being of the animals, and it is crucial to regularly vaccinate, deworm and de-flea.”

Van Dyk said vaccines also help stop the spread of diseases across animals.

“These vaccinations protect against various contagious and potentially deadly illnesses,” she said.

She said people who sponsor a fur baby also contribute to its health and care.

She said the shelter is donor driven.

“We rely solely on donations, so we ask the whole community to help ensure this vaccination drive will be a success.”

To sponsor, people can simply follow the link https://qkt.io/AAVACCINATIONS and Quicket can also be used internationally.

She said the shelter has fundraisers on Quicket.co.za where one can search for Animal Ambulance.

“Every ticket purchased on Quicket gets a free entry into our competition to win prizes,” Van Dyk said.

As a token of gratitude, sponsors will receive a set of coasters with free delivery.

If you would like to help Animal Ambulance through donations, call the shelter at 072 044 1286 for more information.
