Mamelodi woman launches her first book
The book is about teaching people to be patient and trusting in God.
A Mamelodi author and minister of the gospel has launched her first poetry book titled Nyatsi Akere.
Puseletso Mampholo (31) from Mamelodi East, extension 5, said she wrote the book because she wanted to motivate the youth and old people to wait on the Lord to give them the right partners.
She said the book is about teaching people to be patient and “at the right time, God will give them the right partners”.
“You don’t have to break other people’s marriages for your own happiness,” she said.
“I believe that God will meet you at the point of your need. You don’t have to give up and be impatient to find a partner.”
In her book, she reminds Pedi people about their roots and culture and also teaches the young ones about their cultural background.
She said it took her 12 months to write the book, and it was officially published on July 1.
The book is for everyone to read, young and old, as it carries an important message about partners and marriages.
Her passion for writing poems started while she was in high school.
“At first, I thought people won’t be interested in poets. That is until I was inspired by Bishop M.T. Makobe.
“He motivated me to write my own book after I read one of his poetry books.
“So, I let go of my fear and started embracing my talent,” said Mampholo.
She said her favourite author was Mr Bopape, who wrote a book by the name Lenong la Gauta.
Her book is only R200, and if you buy two, you get one free.
