Sadag launches online support group for women

The group plans to meet from 18:00 - 19:00 this July 25 and is being led by, Sadag support group leader, Masulumane Mavuso.

The South African depression and anxiety group (Sadag) is launching its latest online support group for women’s grief and bereavement on July 25.

Sadag says that it recognises the importance of providing a comforting space where women can openly express their emotions, share their stories and receive support from others who have faced similar circumstances.

The group plans to meet from 18:00 – 19:00 this July 25, led by Sadag support group leader Masulumane Mavuso.

“I am passionate about helping people who are experiencing the emotional pain of losing their loved ones. I would like to offer a safe space where they can share their challenges of adjusting and adapting to the new normal while still grieving,” Mavuso says.

“Members will learn from one another’s experiences and discuss topics such as managing their anxiety, emotions and thought processes and building healthy relationships. The group is a safe space for the individual to reflect and manoeuvre the journey of grief and not lose themselves in the process.”

If you are a woman going through grief or you know someone interested in joining this support group, please WhatsApp Masulumane on 072 600 7456.
