Despite “all the gloom and doom” of stage 6 load-shedding, which was putting immense pressure on the metro’s infrastructure, Tshwane mayor Cilliers Brink told community members on Tuesday to “use Mandela Day as an opportunity to uplift our communities”.
His speech was in commemoration of Mandela Day at the Walter Sisulu Environmental Centre in Mamelodi.
Brink urged learners and the community to celebrate civil society.
