Metro Christmas waste collection and other services schedule
The city reminds residents that waste disposal facilities such as landfills and garden refuse sites will be closed on Christmas Day.
Tshwane residents are advised that refuse collection is operating as per schedule, including on public holidays, except for Christmas Day on Monday, December 25.
The city urges residents whose refuse collection day falls on Christmas to take their bins out for collection on Sunday, December 24.
The normal schedule will be followed as from Tuesday, December 26.
The city also reminds residents that waste disposal facilities such as landfills and garden refuse sites will be closed on Christmas.
Those whose refuse collection falls on 25 December 2023 (Christmas Day) which is on a Monday, should take out their refuse bins for collection on Sunday, 24th of December 2023. Normal schedule will be followed from Tuesday, 26 December 2023.

Tshwane advised customers about the temporary closure of non-essential services from Wednesday. December 27 until January 1, 2024.
These services will be operational again from January 2 .
“Customers are further informed that the municipal offices will close at 12:00 on December 22,” said metro spokesperson Lindela Mashigo.
During this period, all – :
– customer care centres will be closed
– billing and meter reading enquiries will not be attended to
– meter readings will not be captured
Call centres will remain open to take complaints on the following:
– power failures
– streetlights
– water leaks.
